The Bowmoor CL (centre lounge) holiday lodge layout made by Prestige Park and Leisure Homes, is certainly stylish. The model we saw had two sets of French doors to the exterior from the open plan centre lounge/dining/kitchen area and a bedroom each end of the holiday caravan.
We enter the holiday lodge via the rear door into a multi-purpose area; it’s a hallway, with an integral washing/drying machine, with wall hung cupboards above it and it’s a boot store with a handily placed bench to sit on and coat hooks.
It leads nicely into the L shaped kitchen which is fitted with a fridge/freezer, a gas hob, electric oven, integrated microwave, a dishwasher and one and a half bowl sink unit. Cupboards have framed carcasses and are finished in a high gloss cream which harmonise with the wood plank effect floor. It certainly has the designer look with circular LED lights in the kick plinths and a neat breakfast bar with two chairs facing into the open plan living area.
The living area has a harvest gold upholstered L shaped sofa and one arm chair with a plethora of scatter cushions in contrasting colours and textures well placed to sit around the electric fire which is set in a glass surround with a TV point and socket above it.
The dining area is a masterpiece of dining elegance; four leather look high back chairs sit around the walnut dining table which has a matching sideboard. The living area benefits not just from the light from the French doors, and carefully chosen light-reflecting and warm fabrics, but from a number of other windows, strategically positioned to help to make this a bright, spacious living area.
Behind the dining area is a bedroom, with 3ft wide twin beds, each with walnut headboards and bedside cabinets. There is a feature wall over the beds, with inset small windows dressed with Roman blinds. The harvest gold colour scheme has been carried though with the addition of brown in the soft furnishings.
There’s a set of French doors leading to the exterior, walnut and cream sliding doors to the wardrobe activate wardrobe lights and a door leads to the en-suite bathroom, a relaxing environment with an over-bath shower, a square shaped basin set in a walnut plinth. It’s fully tiled with cream and walnut tiles with a feature border.
At the opposite end of the holiday caravan is the master bedroom which also has French doors to the exterior. It’s a very relaxing looking room with duck egg blue featuring in the colour scheme.
A king size bed has a walnut headboard and a feature wall, two freestanding bedside cabinets; a well-appointed dressing area has a generous amount of space, and a door leading to the boiler cupboard. The company fits “A” class combi-condensing boilers as standard.
The en-suite shower room is a sanctuary with a 1200mx800m shower, but otherwise designed and decorated as the guest bathroom.
A choice of Canexel, timber log lap or Thermowood is available for exterior cladding.
The Bowmoor CL is built to BS 3632 residential standard.
Verdict: it’s a prestigious home, well-designed with useable spaces, with contemporary décor and a chic interior with lots of WOW factor.
The centre lounge layout is practical but is plot specific so choose wisely to avoid disappointment. Is there anything missing? We would have like to have seen a guest cloakroom, but Prestige design bespoke holiday caravans.
