The Woodbury is a new holiday lodge from Omar, with four bedrooms – two at each end. It’s perfect for large families and multi-generational use, with both double and twin rooms and an awesomely spacious central living area.
This 50ft x 20ft lodge is designed for private purchase and also for the rental market – and it’s built to residential specification, so ideal for siting on a holiday park that is open all year.
It’s available in a choice of four décor themes, designed to suit coastal and inland environments. You can choose from Waterside, Highland, Woodland and Modern interior design themes. All have CanExel cladding.
Our review model is the Woodland design, with wood-effect flooring, natural tone, accents of blues and greens, and bedroom curtains that have designs depicting rabbits, owls, flowers and foliage.
In the Woodland Woodbury’s lounge is a media wall, complete with TV connections, five mains sockets and USB points. This wall is finished in mid-green – definitely a woodland colour.
The enormous L-shaped sofa, designed for many family and friends, is upholstered in a soft fawn shade. Double doors open from the vast lounge area.
At the opposite side of the Woodbury, an entrance leads into an area equipped with an upholstered set, coat hooks and cabinets for shoes.
The huge dining table is close by – it’s a six-seater and can be extended to create enough space for eight to dine. Eight chairs are provided.
The kitchen is next to the dining area, and like every other area of Woodbury, it’s brilliantly spacious. It’s equipped with a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, four-burner hob and oven-grill. Kitchen décor is very much woodland in theme, with wood-effect units. Buyers can opt for a ceramic hob and a microwave at and extra cost.
Because the Woodbury is designed for the rental market, as well as private purchase, it has an unusual storage feature – an exterior cabinet, with shelves, it’s designed for storage of bed linen but would be equally suitable for a multitude of uses.
With bedrooms at each end, the Woodbury is tailor-made for two, or even three generation use.
At one end is a double and a twin room. This double room has a corner en-suite shower.
All the twin beds are three feet wide and the double beds are king-sized.
There’s also a good-sized bathroom with an over bath shower at this end of the Woodbury.
The décor theme is identical for the bedrooms at the other end of the Woodbury.
Here, there’s a double and a twin room. This double room has a large, rectangular shower.
The twin room also has an en-suite, with a triangular shower.
The idea of having three shower rooms makes the Woodbury ideal for large families and perfect, also, for inviting friends.
Verdict: The Woodbury is a fabulous family lodge with brilliantly designed accommodation and an immense central living space. It’s easy to picture all activities, from parties to quiet nights in, here.
Plus points: Space everywhere. King-sized double beds and full domestic-sized twin beds. Three shower rooms and the bedrooms-at-each end layout.
Minus points: As a big family lodge, it’s hard to beat
In a nutshell: We love this lodge for its bedrooms-at-each-end layout, its enormous size and its practicality. If you enjoy spending your leisure time with lots of people, and want to be sure they’re all luxuriously accommodated, the Woodbury is surely one to consider.
