The all-new Pathfinder Silverton has the look of a classic woodland lodge; clad in cedar, it would look splendid on any park in any setting, be it countryside or beachside.
The entrance is in the middle of the lodge with the kitchen and lounge to the right and the sleeping accommodation to the left.
The kitchen is a wraparound U-shape with wooden counter tops and a raised breakfast bar next to the dining area.
It features a stone-effect deep sink and enough surface for any cook, not to mention the most important thing – an integrated wine cooler!
The kitchen also has a fitted dishwasher and washing machine along with the usual appliances; fridge-freezer plus oven and hob with a cylindrical extractor fan above.
The roof light above the kitchen area adds to the brightness of the Pathfinder Silverton – even in the dullest of weather this lodge will feel bright and airy.
The dining area is opposite the lounge, all finished in pale wood that contrasts perfectly with the dark grey panels that edge the kitchen.
The lounge is centred around a log-effect stove, ideal for those cosy nights in in the winter. The sofas are upholstered in brown distressed leather and are very similar in colour to the laminate wooden floor which runs throughout in the Pathfinder Silverton.
Next to all of this are two sliding doors that open on to what would be your decking area, making your living area as big as you want it to be and creating a natural extension to the outside world. This works especially well in the Silverton as “natural” is definitely an ongoing theme is this luxury holiday lodge.
The bedroom accommodation is equally well appointed. The second bedroom features two solid oak single beds. The clean lines and natural style give the furniture a pure and functional feel. A fitted wardrobe sits opposite the two beds.
The bathroom has a very modern feel, with slate grey fittings accented with pebble grey tiles and a dark wood surround to the bath. The modernity is a perfect contrast to the eco wooden feel of the Silverton; the two go hand in hand in harmony.
The master bedroom spans the entire width of the lodge at the back. The door is centrally located, and the solid oak double bed is to the right, complete with leather upholstered headboard.
To the left of the door is a separate dressing area and en-suite, again with modern clean lines, walk-in shower and slate grey fixtures and fittings set into the walls.
The tiling in the shower is a soft cream and balances well with the pebble grey floor tiles.
The dressing area has a double built in wardrobe, a single storage cupboard and even more light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling window at the end of the dressing area corridor.
Verdict: The Pathfinder Silverton is designed primarily as a holiday lodge but is built to residential standard so it’s a true dual-purpose unit – equally ideal for a holiday park which is open all-year round and also ideal for buyers looking for a residential park home.
The décor has a natural, eco feel with touches of industrial design; it all melds magnificently and the cedar-cladding creates a woodland vibe. We love the roof light in the kitchen too.
Plus points: An open plan layout designed for sociability, with the roof light over the kitchen and a good amount of worktop, excellent dressing area with full-height window.
Minus points: There’s nothing not to like!
