Swift revamp the popular Moselle range for 2022 with two interior design colour scheme choices!
The all-new Swift Moselle aims to make heads turn as this well-established manufacturer gives its popular holiday caravan range a revamp.
The Moselle static caravan is built on galvanised chassis and Swift uses its bonded construction for greater strength and insulation. Wood grain textured aluminium cladding is used and front patio doors are an option.
Our review model was one of the first to leave the factory and had various extras added that Swift feels buyers will want. The optional environmental green exterior replaced the sand colour standard, patio doors were fitted as well as Thermaglas Upvc “Anthracite” double glazing.
This 38ft x 12ft two bedroomed Swift Moselle static caravan has a customisable front lounge, with TV points at either side, a free-standing armchair, settee and foot stool, plus coffee table and TV cabinet.
There’s a choice of interior design schemes too – modern “Scandinavian” or a cosy “Country Cottage” styling. Our review model was the latter.
As well as LED lighting and sockets with USB points, there were two small side windows in the lounge, but with patio doors fitted plenty of light can flood in.
The Swift Moselle kitchen offers has an L-shaped design with the dining table opposite, also on an L-shaped configuration, next to a large side window. It’s spacious and also includes two padded stools – ideal for children.
The kitchen offers great storage and worktop space, plus there’s an in-built microwave and Thetford gas hob and oven with extractor fan above. Opposite is a large cabinet, with more cupboard and shelf storage, plus an integrated fridge freezer. It’s a great idea but it means you haven’t got the fridge directly to hand in the kitchen itself.
The twin bedroom in the Swift Moselle is quite compact but manages to squeeze in adult-sized beds, a small dressing table/mirror as well as a compact wardrobe. Wall-mounted cupboard storage is a bonus and each bed has a reading lamp.
Through to the hallway, there’s a small cushioned seat opposite the solid, cottage-style entrance door, with coat hooks above.
The main bathroom offers a large shower with sliding doors, hand basin and loo but there’s no window due to its position, although good LED lighting attends to this problem.
Into the Moselle’s main bedroom there’s a large side window which allows plenty of natural light to enter. The double bed has two side units and reading lamps. There’s a wardrobe unit complete with drawers underneath and also a built-in dresser with a large mirror for getting ready.
There’s a TV socket on the wall with a shelf below, which you could knock yourself if you were not careful.
The master bedroom’s en-suite, has shower, toilet, handbasin and vanity mirror with shelf, plus a large frosted window.
Verdict: The Swift Moselle country interior felt cosy with its pastel green furniture finish. It’s a great value static caravan with a sociable living space and good build quality. Extras such as patio doors, a fold out sofa bed, and central heating will be items buyers will add.
Plus points: Open-plan kitchen area, comfortable lounge, two bathrooms, colour scheme choices, bonded construction, insulation qualities.
Minus points: Master bedroom is tight on access around bed and near TV point, fridge/freezer is not easy to hand; and wall light in the dining area is set low on the wall.
In a nutshell: This is a holiday caravan that Swift has clearly improved for 2022. An old favourite, years later, the Moselle retains its crown!
