Victory further strengthens its grip on the twin lodge market with the all-new Faraday

Billed as “the perfect starter lodge” this twin unit spans 40ft x 20ft and is designed to be affordable yet still have an expensive ambience about it.

Costing less than a £120,000, the Victory Faraday is ideal for a new buyer of a twin holiday lodge. So what did we think?

The Victory Faraday is built onto a galvanised chassis and comes with Artefoam cladding, usually finished in grey, but with other choices, such as a timber finish. Twin front patio doors are fitted plus pan tile roof and full guttering.

Enter the Faraday and it delivers as Victory promises – and that’s to make it feel more upmarket than the price suggests. There’s a large open plan lounge area with freestanding modular sofa in a soft black fabric and stool and a freestanding chair.

There’s a modern feel to this living space with its natural tones and the corner log-effect electric fire – makes this area a cosy living space.

Here you’ll also find a coffee table, large TV cabinet, and side cabinet in a light woodgrain colour. Two opening side windows and LED ceiling lights help to create a well-lit living area.

A large dining table comfortably seats four behind the sofa and next to the spacious kitchen. Here you’ll find lots of storage in cupboards and also a great expanse of worktop for serving up all your culinary delights and drinks – including a breakfast bar with two padded stools and three on-trend pendant lights above.

There’s space for a dishwasher and its well-equipped with a large integrated fridge freezer, oven, gas hob with extractor fan and built in microwave. The black appliances add a pop of warmth and colour to the light-coloured cupboards and worktop.

There’s an option to add a Velux window to the Faraday’s kitchen area, which could appeal to many buyers.

Like the rest of the Faraday, the twin bedroom has plenty of floor space. The two single beds are given a trendy, one-piece slatted wooden headboard – its looks really stylish and a modern black wall light offers concentrated illumination for reading.

For storage, there’s a double wardrobe is fitted and bedside cabinet but a lack of shelving and wall cupboards. The sockets have USB points, as in the lounge and kitchen areas.

The Faraday’s communal bathroom area again offers great space and cupboard storage and also comes with a bath and stand-alone hand basin. Some might find it small to use but its ideal for kids to use and there’s the option for a rainfall shower.

There’s also a utility room next to the bathroom with space for a washing machine and an area to dry your clothes. There’s lots of storage for laundry, boots and shoes, picnic gear etc too.

Into the Victory Faraday’s master bedroom and the space is impressive with a king-sized bed and the same wooden slatted headboard. The modern theme continues with the black wall lights and like a boutique hotel room you’ll also find a built-in dresser with stool, mirror and TV point fitted above.

There’s a large wardrobe here offering excellent storage, plus a side cabinet with drawers. We think a few shelves would have broken up the large wall areas.

Of course the master bedroom has an en-suite and it’s rather nice with a walk-in rainfall shower plus two separate hand basins with excellent storage beneath. There’s also a full wall mirror and large chrome ladder radiator.

Verdict:  This latest Victory lodge offers an up-market modern feel that doesn’t cost the earth. We liked the lounge area with its open, spacious feel, and the décor is bang up to date with a great choice of colours and fabrics. There’s a lot of choice in this sector but this great value lodge is well worth seeking out.

Plus points: Plenty of space, well-equipped, sociable kitchen, good sized bedrooms and utility room.     

Minus points: Some shelving in bedrooms would add extra storage and appeal

In a nutshell: The Victory combines modern trends yet feels homely and cosy. It’s definitely one to add to your list.
