The ABI Kielder is a twin lodge that has been freshened up for 2024 and with eight layouts to choose from you’re spoilt for choice
The ABI Kielder holiday lodge has been brought up to date with its, simple, yet modern styling cues mixed with an element of country style influences.
We looked at the 41ft x 20ft twin unit from ABI’s Kielder range – boasting three bedrooms and an optional en-suite in the master bedroom.
With two double bedrooms the ABI Kielder can sleep up to six in perfect comfort providing a cracking holiday retreat. And it’s an attractive-looking lodge with offset French doors which lead you into the dining area with wooden table and six chairs grey upholstered chair.
This area flows nicely into the kitchen so meals are always close to hand. The kitchen itself comes with a good run of worktop and ample storage space – we loved the blue/green colour of the Shaker style cupboard doors, which matched well with the wood-effect worktops.
The microwave, oven, fridge and separate freezer are also all well-placed for the user.
Opposite the dining area is the open-plan lounge with a large three-seater sofa and two seater settee finished in grey. The settee for three also makes up into a double bed if needed.
There’s plenty of storage and shelving with two cabinets and a TV stand, plus a coffee table / storage unit.
Across the front of the lounge are three large picture windows for looking out but that does mean you’re relying on the double French doors in the dining area for your ventilation.
Through into the side door entrance and here you have a small but practical hallway with a twin seat and dresser unit.
The twin bedroom is on your right from the hallway and here are two adult-sized single beds are placed in an L shape.
This twin bedroom has a large wardrobe as well as a built-in dresser with a large mirror and several mains sockets. It’s all practical and feels spacious too.
Opposite the twin bedroom is the first of three bathrooms in the ABI Kielder. This one has a bath fitted and though quite compact it still remains practical.
Next to it is a shower room, which serves as an en-suite to the master bedroom. The turquoise blue theme is carried on through from the kitchen into the bathrooms; each has a sink and cupboard beneath as well.
The master bedroom also has a built-in wooden dresser unit with mirror and a walk-in wardrobe and dressing area. There are two bedside cabinets and a good amount of floor space.
The third bedroom in the ABI Kielder holiday lodge also has a double bed as well as a side dresser with mirror and storage and a wardrobe. As an option this model can also be ordered with a corner en-suite – it’s not as large as the main bedroom but it does come with a shower as well as a loo.
The layout of this three-bedroomed ABI Kielder is ideal for families who would appreciate a third double room – may be three generations of a family!
Verdict: We think the ABI Kielder is a first class lodge that can sleep up to eight should the need arise, so it’s great for large families who want their home comforts and to be together but with enough space to keep their privacy.
A galvanised chassis and CanExel finish make sure this lodge will meet all the worst UK weather can throw at it. For the cash, it’s a lot of lodge and one that you will be proud to own!
Plus points:

- Well-placed mains sockets and USB points
- Good sized kitchen area.
Minus points:
- No second set of patio doors for the lounge area.
- No electric fire fitted in lounge.
In a nutshell: If you’re a big family which likes to be together then the ABI Kielder lodge could be the one for you! The two double bedrooms come with showers and loos and we liked the size of the twin bedroom too. With lots of space and storage too, what more do you want?
