The Pemberton Langton is a holiday lodge that has a lot going for it in many ways.
Also available as a static caravan, the Pemberton Langton lodge oozes style with its wood grained aluminium cladding and front patio doors. We liked the window placed above the front doors and the dormer window to the side entrance door and over the dining area. It all adds to the styling.
A super build quality is evident too, with interior fittings nicely put together.
A galvanised chassis, full guttering, double glazed windows, and an exterior mains socket are all part of the standard specification and inside there’s more.
Step into the front lounge and you’re in a very welcoming place, with two large leather armchairs beside the fireplace, plus a neutral grey twin settee. The grey furniture and walls contrast beautifully with the oak-coloured cabinets and woodwork.
A large padded foot stool-cum-coffee table is also supplied and three side windows complemented by the patio doors let the light flood in.
Two sliding doors cut off the lounge from the kitchen if needed to create a cosy space and these doors are framed by that warm oak woodwork and modern glass shelving with insight lighting.
In the dining area the dormer window allows in plenty of natural light – it’s a nice feature too. A table and chairs are placed here with a modern pendant light above usage. There’s also a slatted partition to screen off the entrance vestibule.
The kitchen is well designed with a central island cupboard and plenty of cupboards and runs of worktop. Again the oak coloured worktops constrast nicel with the grey cabinets.
It’s all well-equipped with the standard specification including an integrated microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and vented cooker extractor hood. It’s well planned out and hard to fault.
There’s more storage by the side entrance door, with a large cupboard for coats and smaller cupboards for boots, shoes, bags and scarves, etc. Plus a padded seat for taking off those muddy boots!
The Pemberton Langton lodge has two bedrooms. The first is a twin room, which has two adult-sized single beds with a large wall cupboard and shelving above, and plush headboards. There’s also a good-sized wardrobe, so all-in-all a good sized bedroom for two.
Opposite is the loo and walk-in shower complete with a large hand basin on top of a cupboard. It’s not over-generous in floor area but it’s very practical with soap and toothbrush holders on the wall and a mirrored vanity cupboard.
Step into the master bedroom and here you have a king-sized double bed and a full en-suite bathroom with a bath fitted.
It’s in the same warm colour scheme as the twin room as well as a TV point, throws, duvet sets and cushions. There’s a dedicated vanity area with a dressing table with plush padded stool and a large mirror.
Above there’s a wall cupboard and shelving with a small wardrobe and drawers next to it.
At the bottom of the bed there’s a double wardrobe which has good hanging space, plus there’s open shelving storage and two small bedside cabinets.
The en-suite is excellent with a bath and shower above. While the loo and hand basin are well placed in the washroom, which also has a window.
Verdict: The Pemberton Langton is a smart-looking holiday lodge. We liked the front window above the patio doors as well as the dormer window above the dining area – both nice design touches and very practical too.
Being able to close off the lounge from the kitchen area was also a good feature. The bedrooms are a good size and the kitchen is well specified with useful appliances as standard.
All in all the Pemberton Langton is ideal for a couple who let the grandchildren stay over for the weekend, with its twin bedroom, plenty of room and storage space.
Plus points: Solid build, quality feel throughout, colour scheme, comfy armchairs, well-appointed kitchen.
Minus points: Very few gripes – but we would have liked to have seen shelving above the double bed – the icing on the cake we feel!
In a nutshell: The Pemberton Langton is an excellent single lodge. It’s ideal for a couple yet will accommodate four adults with ample space and storage.
