Victory Leisure has been proactive over the last year with new production facilities and new personnel being drafted in to strengthen its team. We were therefore keen to see the first new Victory Riverwood lodge to come out of the factory for 2021.
A 40ft x 13ft single holiday lodge it complements the Lakewood lodge launched earlier in 2020. It was inevitable that Victory would build on its success and they’ve added a 41ft x 13 ft, three bedroomed Riverwood to its range.
The Victory Riverwood we reviewed had just left the factory and was built to EN1647 spec but can be upgraded to BS3632. It can also be ordered with several specifications added. This had the Lifestyle option which meant central heating and double glazing.
A galvanised chassis is standard along with the front French doors. Another addition was the exterior sand Artefoam cladding, replacing the normal aluminum, plus golden oak window surrounds. These both enhance the overall look of the Riverwood and will likely be added by most buyers.
Step through those front French doors into the Victory Riverwood and you come into a large front lounge, with two large sofas, a coffee table, and a TV cabinet.
There’s an electric fire in a stylish fire surround and two large side windows add more natural light. The colour scheme is very natural with hints of green in the curtains and cushions. LED lighting is integrated into the ceiling offering good night-time illumination.
There’s little in the way of storage in the lounge but walk through to the kitchen dining area and you’ll find acres of worktop and cupboard storage.
It’s also very modern and stylish in here and we loved the dark green cupboard doors with brass coloured doorknobs.
Those doors can also be ordered in blue but the green looked good and went well with the black hob and oven, built-in microwave, and taps.
It’s a very practical kitchen with a fridge freezer, plus space for a dishwasher and washing machine.
The dining area offers bench seating although the padding on the seats had yet to be added. It’s a pleasant, well-designed area, which will comfortably seat four for dinner.
From the kitchen area, you go down a small hallway and on the left is the twin bedroom. The design is more domestic than most, using the L shaped layout of the beds. It creates more floor area as well and makes it feel more spacious.
Good sized single beds are supplied and a wardrobe complete with extra drawer storage too. Kids will love this room – and adults too for that matter.
Opposite the twin room is the main bathroom complete with a walk-in shower and hand basin plus a storage cupboard. We particularly liked the green fern leaf patterned wall decoration, plus the green finish shower head and black taps and radiator – makes a change from chrome
The nature-themed décor continues in the double bedroom, complete with a king-sized bed and full-length windows allowing in plenty of natural light. The bed has two side drawers with a trendy roof mounted hanging light above.
There’s plenty of storage in the walk-in dressing room which has a walk-in wardrobe and a dresser with plenty of drawer storage and a super large mirror.
The same green themed decoration is featured in the Victory Riverwood’s en–suite bathroom, which also has a walk-in shower, hand basin, plus loo.
It all looks fabulously classy and with the Lifestyle pack, towel rail radiators are fitted in both bathrooms.
Verdict: It seems Victory has another winner on its hands and with the extra Lifestyle pack added it makes for a great value holiday lodge. That kitchen is a cracker with all that storage and the stylish green finish. Overall the Victory Riverwood works well.
Plus points: Excellent kitchen area with microwave and fridge freezer fitted as standard. The twin room is excellent for adults as well as children.
Minus points: Little storage in the lounge area
In a nutshell: The Victory Riverwood should prove to be a big hit for buyers who are looking for style and space on their lodge holidays.

Hi.
Can you please tell me the cost of annual ground rent gas and electric.
Is there a discount for cash.
Kind regards.
Mr A J Clarke.
Hi Anthony, you would have to speak to the specific park about these costs. We are an insurance provider.
Thanks, Liz
