Atlas are having a great year for sales, looking ahead to 2022 and beyond!

Atlas has a background stretching back to 1975 and over these 46 years has seen peaks and troughs – one being the 2008 financial crisis. That put Atlas Caravans in a position of ceasing as a company, but within weeks a new Atlas was back – Atlas Leisure Homes. From a production run of just 500 holiday caravans, the Atlas name was to come back stronger than ever and has just recently added another production line in a new Hull factory to increase its output.

Looking at the popular Atlas Heritage static caravan line-up, the 13ft wide Heritage 2 has lots of appeal. With the extra width, this holiday caravan really does feel spacious.

The Atlas Heritage is built on a Bankside chassis, which is galvanised as an option. Aluminium wood grain finish is standard, while the front French doors are optional along with the uPVC double glazing. Full guttering is included and also an overhang roofline at the front adds some distinctive looks.

The interior of the Heritage holiday caravan feels super spacious as you walk in, helped by the light colour scheme. The lounge offers a combination of a three and a two-seater settee, with one converting to a bed for two.

There’s a TV cabinet with some storage, plus an inbuilt electric fire (though a free-standing coffee table is an option). Two large side windows allow the light to flood in.

Step into the kitchen area of the Atlas Heritage and you’ll also find a dining table with four chairs. The kitchen is finished in a lovely pastel blue, but we weren’t a huge fan of the copper coloured handles, which jarred with the chrome appliances.

The worktop area is okay but not over generous, however, storage is good with enough drawers and cupboards. The kitchen has a full cooker with extractor hood, plus fridge/freezer, but a microwave is an option.

The Heritage’s twin bedroom comes with a wardrobe, plus a wall-mounted mirror with shelf, and a deep side window. The beds have a cupboard between them and there’s also a reading light, plus socket and USB points.

Opposite the twin room is the shared bathroom which has loo, a hand basin atop a cupboard and the shower. It’s all very practical and the hand basin is a good size.

The master bedroom doesn’t disappoint in size, it comes with a double bed with hanging reading lights on either side. There are bedside cabinets with plug sockets here too.

There’s a large wardrobe with ample storage for two, plus a built-in dresser with large drawer, complete with stool, a large mirror and a plug socket for hairdryer and the like.

Although the Atlas Heritage doesn’t have a full en- suite there’s a bathroom with a loo and hand basin.

There’s also a TV cabinet between the side windows in the main bedroom but it does have a dark feel with all the natural light being concentrated at one side of the bedroom.

Verdict: Atlas offers a modern and spacious holiday caravan with the Heritage 13ft wide version for 2021 and makes the most of the extra floor space over its standard models. We would have liked to have seen a little more kitchen worktop and more natural light in the master bedroom, but all-in-all the Heritage 2 is well worth a look at.

Plus points: Extra floor area, contemporary interior, pastel shades on cupboard doors.

Minus points: Kitchen cupboard handles would be better in a charcoal grey or chrome.  Lack of natural light in the bedroom leaves the bed area in the shade, no coffee table as standard.

In a nutshell; The Atlas Heritage is a popular static caravan range and for 2021 in its 13 ft width guise it adds the icing on the cake!
