Europa Caravans began manufacturing for the UK market in early 2009 during a difficult time for the caravan industry. Since then, the Hull-based company has grown and spread its wings, and offers a growing range of holiday caravans.
Across Europa Caravan’s 12 ranges there’s plenty of choice to meet your budget and specification needs. And all its caravans come with Prolocked security windows, which have a unique beading system on the inside as well as a concealed multi-point locking system.
Here we take a look at the Europa Mulberry Neo static caravan – it has a price tag of less than £43k, yet feels like it should cost more.
The Europa Mulberry Neo is built on a painted chassis and comes with full domestic guttering, and uPVC cladding.
Double glazing is standard, as is full insulation. The model we reviewed had front patio doors but these are an optional extra and not fitted as standard.
The Mulberry Neo looks a bit different from the norm with its front end profile, but it’s all well finished off.
Stepping inside, the Mulberry Neo offers a contemporary ambience, with its light grey twin settees and dark grey carpet. The lounge is spacious and comes with a TV stand, coffee table and modern fire place with electric fire.
LED lighting and several mains sockets with USB ports are fitted too. This is a 12ft wide static caravan that feels more like a 13ft model, with the clever use of layout.
The dining area is combined with the kitchen and it’s here next to the four chair dining table a rather smart display cabinet stands – it looks really classy as well as being practical.
The Mulberry Neo’s kitchen is an area which will please most users. Again, it looks modern and offers an excellent worktop area, as well as plenty of cupboard storage. Good down lighting for night use is another feature and the standard microwave is set at a good height. The kitchen also boasts an integrated cooker with timer and extractor hood, plus a full sized fridge/freezer unit. It’s a practical kitchen and if we had a gripe a slightly larger window would be better.
In the first bedroom twin beds are fitted. It’s a practical sized bedroom which comes with overhead storage, including a shelf. The wardrobe offers enough storage for two people, plus drawers for added storage.
Opposite this bedroom is the main bathroom with a walk-in shower. The loo is in the corner and there’s a decent sized hand basin with shelving. It’s a nice enough area but feels a little plain and simplistic, although very user friendly.
From the main hall you walk to the master bedroom, which has a large end window allowing lots of natural light to flood in. Combined with the light wood finish it makes this room feel really spacious.
Plenty of storage is provided with cupboards each side of the bed and a wardrobe with shelving above the bed. There’s more space to store bedding etc under the lift up bed too.
There’s a built in dressing table with stool and mirror, which could have been a little larger and perhaps had a frame around it to finish it off. There are TV points here and a two door wardrobe.
The Mulberry Neo’s master bedroom has its own loo and hand basin but no shower. It’s has a simple, no frills finish but it does its job.
Verdict: The Europa Mulberry Neo offers a lot of holiday caravan for its money. You won’t want for much in the kitchen and the lounge offers a comfortable living space. It’s definitely worth adding to you shortlist for something that is a little bit different from some of the more established names.
Plus points: Microwave/fridge freezer and central heating fitted as standard, Prolocked extra security windows.
Minus points: Washroom just feels a little down market, but not much else to be fair.
In a nutshell: Not a common static caravan name on UK parks, but this could change if the Europa Mulberry Neo is anything to go by. We say go and check one out, you won’t be disappointed.
