The Carnaby Silverdale has had a refresh for 2024 and we think it’s a good-looking static caravan
The 2024 Carnaby Silverdale static caravan also has a great options list, with a good selection of finishes and colours available for the exterior, including a popular choice – front patio doors.
There isn’t a galvanised chassis fitted as standard but the Silverdale has full guttering and if you want UPVC double glazing that’s an optional extra.
The new Carnaby Silverdale has a slight front roof overhang and an exterior light. We take a look inside the 39ft x 12ft two bedroomed model, which is one of three layouts available in the Silverdale line-up.
The front lounge is open and spacious with two free-standing settees – one seating up to five people. Here you’ll find a TV cabinet, a fireplace with an electric fire fitted, a free-standing coffee table, plus a side wall dresser unit with shelves and cupboards.
There’s a modern choice of materials when it comes to lighting with LED integral ceiling lights – although there are only two fitted and we think an extra two would be better. There are several mains sockets as well as a mirror above the fireplace and the colours are all very neutral.
The dining table is sturdy and comes with four padded high back chairs; it’s also placed in the kitchen area.
The Carnaby Silverdale’s kitchen has a pastel green finish for its cupboards, contrasting nicely with the light wood worktops and matching the furniture in the lounge.
There’s a good run of worktop and plenty of cupboard storage, but the fitting of a microwave is an option along with dishwasher. However, a fridge and freezer are standard along with a four burner gas hob and oven. There’s a kitchen window which is quite large and integrated ceiling lights add night time illumination.
The sleeping accommodation includes a twin bedroom as well as a double master bedroom. The twin has two single adult-sized beds with padded, upholstered head boards and a small chest of shelves in-between with handy mains sockets/USB points for charging up mobile devices.
There’s also a large wall cupboard above the beds with added shelves adding to the wardrobe for storage.
Moving into the master bedroom, you’ll find a built-in dresser with a mirror above but it’s a plain table and the only drawers are in a unit next to it.
There’s a double wardrobe offering good hanging space for two, while a king sized bed is fitted with a padded headboard plus overhead storage cupboards and shelving.
The bedroom has a large side window and there are LED ceiling lights, but it’s lacking table lamps or direct reading lights.
The bedroom’s en-suite, although not lavish is practical, and comes with some cupboard storage below the sink and behind the mirror above. The sink is rather shallow but maybe we’re just a little fussy!
In the main shower room is of a similar design to the en-suite but configured slightly differently with the loo directly by the window.
Verdict: The Carnaby Silverdale static caravan offers a lot of value and for a family of four this static caravan would provide you with plenty of space and with the options list you could make it very much your own. We liked the light airy feel of the interior and also think the front French doors will be a “must” option for many.
Plus points: Spacious lounge, good-sized double bedroom, and practical kitchen.
Minus points: Basic dresser in the master bedroom, heating is an optional extra, not much night lighting, the sinks in washroom’s are a little shallow.
In a nutshell: The Carnaby Silverdale feels well made for the price and also has a feel-good factor to it. The bedrooms are a good size and offer decent wardrobe storage.
