POLL NOW CLOSED – Thanks to everyone who voted
For many static caravan or lodge owners, the holiday season has come to a close and some parks will have closed their gates.
Whether you’ve closed down your caravan for winter or are looking forward to some winter caravanning, in this month’s community poll we’d like to know how often you’ve managed to stay in your static caravan or lodge this 2022 season.
Have you got the most out of your investment by staying at your holiday caravan for most of the season, or do you only manage to get there for a couple of holidays a year? Or maybe you rent out your unit and haven’t stayed there at all?

Used caravan for all school holidays plus many times outside school holiday time so probable 3/4 of season would be nearer
We go on average twice a month each time for 4 nights. In addition I had 4 nights with friends and a week with the grandkids. We will visit again in the next two weeks to close it up for the winter.
Stayed from mid March on and off until end of September, approx 10 weeks in total, usually 2 weeks or so at a time.
more than monthly but not weekly
Stay at least 2 weekends per month stay for 3-4 night each time
Approx x 5 x 4 day midweek breaks per season ..
I live in Cyprus and have madde three trips back to the UK for a duration of between 4 and 8 weeks, this is our first year so we started late.
2017 we intend to make around six trips of between 2 to 8 weeks
Sounds like a fantastic way of life Bryan. Enjoy.
Most weekends and full weeks too.
As soon as weather fit I am ready to rush to my caravan with the dog in tow. Then it’s as many weekends/ midweeks I can manage around family commitments. Always bring grandchildren for a week during school holidays , they love it here. In fact youngest(aged8) walks in and says ‘Ah, home again, grandma!’
Sounds like your perfect retreat Carole.
Every other weekend, bank holidays and four weeks holiday
Circumstances this year meant that we spent less time there than normally.
