Victory lodge offers super value with retro overtones
Now in their 10th year of production, Victory have been steady away developing new models over the years and more recently getting to grips with the twin lodge market with MD Peter Nevitt at the helm. Peter has many years’ experience in the static caravan industry, lastly with the Cosalt Group. Getting Victory up and running when the financial crash hit back in 2008 was no easy task but value, and quality with flair, were the ingredients of Victory’s success.
The Cezanne lodge is new for 2019 and has a front large overhanging roofline and twin, small, angled non-opening windows above the pair of French doors, which have a large window at each side too. But you don’t have to use either of these front doors for entry as the side entrance also offers a small porch.
This takes you through to the utility area, which has a fitted sink and space for a washing machine. Carry on walking and you enter a hallway with a door into the main kitchen and lounge / dining area. The other doors take you into the double bedroom also the shower room and twin bedroom.
The lounge is open plan with kitchen and dining area, and has a comfy L-shaped seven seater sofa. There’s a rather nice fireplace arrangement here with mock coal fire stove inset. A coffee table and TV stand are placed here and the yellow scatter cushions add a little hint of retro.
The dining table seats four, while the kitchen has a combined breakfast bar, microwave, fridge freezer and separate oven grill, plus a four burner gas hob.
The whole area is well planned and with the lounge it all feels rather cosy too.
Before taking a look at the master bedroom we were suitably impressed by the twin bedroom. It’s rather large and spacious and carries on the retro coloured, 60’s theme. There’s plenty of storage too, with large double wardrobe, plus the overhead bed lockers and shelves, as well as the two chests of drawers.
This bedroom also has its own en-suite, which can also be entered off the main hallway.
The master bedroom has plenty of space, plus walk-in wardrobes and a side dresser. And the double bed also has handy storage drawers.
There’s great night illumination and, similar to the twin room, there’s a good sized radiator fitted for those cooler days or evenings. The master bedroom also has an en-suite complete with bath, shower and marble effect tiling.
There’s also twin hand basins – nice touch – plus plenty of cupboard storage beneath.
So does Victory’s new lodge impress?
Verdict
Victory provide quality static caravans and lodges, and this new addition is up there with the expectations of quality build and design. That retro soft furnishing scheme is a winner and the contemporary wood finish blends well. The cosy lounge area and spacious bedrooms are plus points to appeal to buyers.
This is a lodge which has great potential and we’re sure it will prove to be a top seller in the Victory portfolio.
Plus points
Soft furnishing design and colours, cosy lounge area with neat fireplace, excellent bedrooms and overall build quality
Minus points
It’s hard to find much to fault to be honest!
In a nutshell
Great value. At below £104,000, the Cezanne should prove ideal for lodge buyers on a tighter budget.

Hi, could you please advise on the lifespan of the Cezanne and what elements generally need replacing first.
Thanks
Hi Paul, you can expect a lodge to last for 25-30 years. You’d be best speaking to your park operator or to contact Victory Leisure Homes direct. Tel 01430 471 200 or email [email protected].
