Tingdene launch their mind-blowing Quantum lodge – complete with full-length rooftop sun deck!
Now 2019 has not only been Tingdene’s 50th anniversary it’s also been the year which saw this Northants manufacturer and park owner push the boat out with its new star grabber, the Quantum, launched at Stoneleigh Park.
This new holiday lodge is enough to turn your fellow park users green with envy! At 52ft x 22ft, this luxurious lodge sleeps four and comes with a full length roof terrace – yes that’s right a roof terrace! It’s by far the coolest lodge we’ve clapped eyes on this year, but having said that Aspire Leisure Homes also launched a similar lodge with an upstairs too, which is cheaper as well as stylish.
Now this is no new idea, in fact step back into the 1950s to a company named Berkeley Caravans who had the very same idea with their 22ft home, which also had an upstairs bedroom, plus a roof garden! The idea flopped back then but fast forward to 2019 and with modern construction techniques and innovative design and this does actually work.
The Quantum has an impressive large frontage, with four sets of patio doors to let in plenty of natural light, plus the lodge has definite kerb appeal and there’s a large sundeck at the front. There’s also a small entrance door at the back of the lodge too.
The main living area comes complete with a large settee which has a TV cabinet with three small staggered height windows and shelving.
It’s all very open plan with the kitchen running alongside and a combined dining table – all finished in pure white – it’s all very classy and sophisticated, with a 60’s retro flavour.
Just check out the detailing on the walls throughout this luxury lodge!
The kitchen is very well equipped (including large fridge/freezer) and a central section has an integrated hob, pop up plug sockets plus a breakfast bar too.
It’s all very sleek with no handles on the cupboard doors.
More windows are added on the end wall with the last set of patio doors.
From the main living area you walk into the rear glazed hallway but not before checking out the light wooden ceiling which guides you through to the bedrooms, which cradle the living space – there’s one at either end of the Quantum.
Here are the stairs for the roof terrace which then opens out onto the huge roof terrace.
Not sure if your neighbours would like being overlooked though!
Back down stairs the Quantum has two bedrooms, one a master bedroom which can be accessed via the lounge area. It’s large in size and is also quite minimal with an armchair, dressing table and an array of lightbulbs above the bed.
Walk through into the large bathroom with super sized bath and shower opposite and you have the also a spacious walk in wardrobe too and dressing room.
A loo is next to the shower plus a large hand basin. It’s all very chic and has plenty of wow factor.
For the second bedroom it comes with twin beds with a flicked wall behind, plus large twin wardrobes and large dressing table too.
Trendy hanging lightbulbs provide suitable lighting for reading in bed.
It’s all very stylish, as is the en-suite shower and loo area with that retro décor and its bright hexagonical tiling.
The Quantum lodge also has another loo area to just as you come into the hallway / stairs, with more modern design trends.
Verdict: Wow – what a lodge design, it’s that roof terrace that is the icing on the cake and the trend setting interior with cool designer radiator heaters and superb lighting levels too. With lots of glazed areas and comfort factor built in, this is a lodge and a half!
Plus points: Kitchen and lounge area are really big! Large bathroom for master bedroom and that spacious roof terrace!
Minus points: Not much storage in master bedroom, neighbours may feel overlooked and stairs quite steep.
In a nutshell: A lodge for those who like to be noticed! It’s big, bold and stylish and with a list of options a true luxury lodge icon.
