A team of thirteen brave cyclists, both novice and experienced, will be taking on the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride challenge on June the 16th, and are looking for donations in order to reach an ambitious target of £7000.
The 70 mile route is being tackled by Leisuredays and Caravan Guard (our parent company) employees along with a few extra family and friends, and promises to be a difficult challenge even for the more experienced cyclists in the group.
Managing Director Peter Wilby, who has completed the charity ride for the last 20 years, had this to say,
“The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride raises money for a number of local and national charities including Heart Research UK and The Yorkshire Cancer Trust, and is something which we are very proud to be a part of. It is a challenging ride to complete and as such we are hoping as many people as possible sponsor our team, many of whom are not regular cyclists. Our target is for the team to raise £100 for every mile, making £7,000 our total target.”
