Leisuredays insurance warns holiday caravan owners that freak weather can strike at any time after a small tornado swept through two Kent holiday parks.
The static caravan insurance specialists have been dealing with numerous storm damage claims left by the mini twister and strong winds on the Isle of Sheppey last month.
Luckily nobody was reported injured but damage to the parks was fairly widespread and reported claims included panel damage as a result of items thrown by the tornado, damage to roofs which has led to water ingress, and damage to decking, skirting, and satellite dishes.
We have also seen news reports of some static caravans which were completely destroyed by the mini-tornado.
The insurance company says tornado damage is rare but it’s once again a reminder to holiday caravan owners to be prepared for the unexpected by insuring their pride and joy with specialist cover.
