The Omar Westfield lodge for 2015 is available in a range of floor plans; the model in this report is a two-bedroom.
The front aspect, the gable end, is largely glazed and helps to give the open plan living area a spacious feel. Two large, freestanding sofas dominate the living area but the real feature is a neat electric fire, with a hot stone look set in a flaming basin.
The dining area, also bathed in natural light, has a pendant light hanging over the round table and four chairs.
Matt ivory kitchen cupboard doors in a walnut effect and a large window throwing natural light give the kitchen a bright appearance despite the plank effect worktops and the oak vinyl floor.
Appliances in the model seen include a dishwasher, washing machine, four burner gas hob with an extractor fan vented to the exterior, an electric oven and grill. The lodge is well specified with four double socket power points above the counter.
The single door on the side aspect is practical as is the large store cupboard. There’s a door into the hall and on the left is the boiler cupboard; opposite is the family bathroom which has an over the bath shower with a contemporary concertina style acrylic shower door.
The walls around the bath are fully tiled and are a definite feature of the room. A wide shelf at the back of the bath is a practical place to store toiletries.
The guest room has twin beds with wall-to-wall headboards, certainly a striking feature, built-in wardrobes and a convenient vanity unit with a nearby power point.
The master bedroom features a king-size bed, again with wall-to-wall headboards, a large wardrobe and a vanity unit. The en-suite shower room doesn’t lack in space and a fully tiled quadrant shower makes great use of the space.
The interior colour scheme is interesting; the bedrooms use a relaxing soft focus with mocha, while navy highlights are used in the main bedroom, a complete contrast to the subtle silver, grey and lemon in the open plan living area.
Environmental considerations factored in include A+ rated fridge-freezer and washing machine. Further options include an Eco pack using intelligent heating controls, LED lighting and LOW E windows and doors. The model seen has Canexel cladding, also environmentally friendly.
Verdict
The Westfield doesn’t lack in style or space and falls into the category of affordable lodges, with the option to upgrade the specification according to your budget and needs. The model seen was certainly comfortable and suitable for all year round use.

Where can I buy one of these in Hampshire, Dorset, west Sussex, East Sussex?
Hi Sue,
I passed your query onto Omar, who’ve come back with this response:
“Unfortunately we are not aware of Westfield lodges currently for sale in the counties specified however, Finlake Holiday Park (01626 853833) Newton Abbot, Devon and Devon Hills Holiday Village (01803 666930) Paignton, Devon do have Westfield lodges available. Alternatively, if there is a holiday park that you like, then it is always worth speaking to the park to see if they have pitches available for a Westfield lodge to be sited.”
Let me know if you need anything else.
Many thanks
Lucie
