Among the homes being produced by Willerby in 2011 is the all-new 40ft x 20ft two bedroom Ridgewood lodge which comes with a specification to make your mouth water!
Externally, the first thing you notice on the Willerby Ridgewood is that the pitched roof has been raised in the area above the entrance door. This creates a loft space which is accessed via a loft ladder in the hallway. Raising the roof in this way immediately differentiates the Willerby Ridgewood from the competition. It is also worth noting that the home is built on a twin axle fully galvanised chassis and has Canexel cladding in a range of colours, plus a steel pantile roof as standard. Sliding doors have been fitted in the end and the adjacent front wall of the lounge, with bi-fold doors being offered as an option. At the other end of the lounge end wall is an attractive bay window, one end of which had been angled at about 45 degrees.
Immediately on the right, inside the front door, is a freestanding coat cupboard. On the left, further along the hallway, is the door into the kitchen and daytime living area whilst on the right further along the hallway is the door to the main bedroom. The end of the hallway is basically an inverted V and its here that the doors giving access to the second bedroom and bathroom are sited. In the hallway ceiling is access to the loft which includes a fold-down loft ladder.
The kitchen is nothing if not superbly appointed. As you enter it has a larder fridge followed by a number of base and wall units running down the right-hand wall. Included here is a built-in cooker containing a separate oven and grill, followed by a microwave and, set between the drawer units, a wine chill cabinet. Above the base units are three wall cupboards with a storage rack for glasses fitted between them above the microwave. At an angle in the corner, to the right of the door way, is a stainless steel five burner hob above which is the obligatory extractor – also in stainless steel. To the left of the hob is a drawer unit and to the right, a base unit containing one and a half sinks and drainer. Beyond the sink unit, separating the kitchen from the dining area, is a breakfast bar.
From the kitchen you walk into the lounge area. Immediately on the left beyond the bar stools is an extendable dining table and four chairs with slatted backs and leather seats.
To the right as you enter the lounge is a door set at an angle leading into the utility room. In here, there are both base units and wall cupboards plus – as standard – a washer dryer.
The lounge is basically rectangular and takes up about just under a third of the home’s floor area. In the corner of end wall and the adjacent front wall, are two pairs of sliding doors which come with the option of being changed to bi-fold doors. On the wall between the sliding doors and the bay window in the end wall, is a remotely operated electric fire above which is a wall-mounted 42in HD ready plasma TV. Standard furniture comprises two sofas and an armchair, all with scatter cushions, an entertainment unit, a coffee table, and a large oak framed mirror.
The second bedroom of the Willerby Ridgewood has a 5ft wide bed with a two drawer bedside cabinet at each side and a large framed mirror on the wall above the headboard. Opposite the foot of the bed is a double door freestanding wardrobe with a chest of drawers next to it.
Next to the second bedroom is the family bathroom. This is an absolute joy, having as it does, a freestanding bath and a separate shower cubicle.
In the shower itself is a thermostatically controlled multi-function shower head. An extractor fan is standard, but for our money anyway, the piece de resistance is the digitally controlled underfloor heating. A touch of unadulterated luxury!
The main bedroom also has a large double bed with a two drawer bedside cabinet at either side and a large framed mirror on the wall above the headboard whilst in the ceiling are two Velux windows with night blinds. Opposite the foot of the bed is a chest of drawers this time containing eight drawers. On the wall above the chest is a TV point.
In the alcove leading to the en suite are two freestanding wardrobes – one having two doors and the other three. The en suite contains a 4ft x 2ft 7in shower cubicle with thermostatically controlled shower head; a ceramic washbasin sitting on top of a two door vanity unit; and a dual flush toilet.

How much is the Ridgewood Holiday Lodge?
Have just seen a write up on the new two bedroom Willerby Ridgewood holiday lodge, could I please have prices on new and or second hand .
Hi there. You can find pricing information from the Willerby website (ex works) http://www.willerby.com/ridgewood-2011-pricelist-uk-m94.php or from your park operator.
This takes Willerby into another league. Looks absolutely fab but how many sites could take this size. I have a Willerby Westmoreland sited in Cumbria which can take up to approx 35`x12`. Might not matter when I discover the price. However these `vans / lodges just get better.
lovely, how much please
how much does it cost to buy one of these beautiful lodges and do you have a brochure on it ?
very nice lodge ,dont see much point in loft space but, wont suit over 50 s or retirement sites ,most vans have storeage units outside and some sites may increase site fees due to the extra ground space youll need, seen this happening on our site .what is price please.
very nice lodge, would make good retirement hoilday home everything you need, whats the price.
Just loved it.Could we have the price please,as it would be very nice to have, if we could afford it.
The prototype Willerby Ridgewood lodge is ONLY available to view at Woodlands Hall Holiday Park in Ruthin, North Wales, from Saturday 23rd April 2011. For that day there is a champagne reception and luxury buffet available. The turn key price of the Ridgewood at Woodlands, including probably the most breath taking decking you will see anywhere all year, is £159,995. For any more information please contact the Woodlands Sales Office on 01824 702 066. Thanks.

Hi Mike
As mentioned above, you’ll need to contact Willerby or your park owner for prices and part exchange deals. Contact details for Willerby are printed above.
Regards
Heather
i wonder in this instance you could let me know how much the ridgewood would cost regards alan
Please contact the manufacturer or your park owner for prices.
one word…..STUNNING….just been to hull and saw it
Don’t know what the park will value this lodge at but the manufacturer price for a new one is £117,000. Why the asking price is not available here is very disappointing as it is obvious that potential buyers would like to know now ! Me included.
Hi John
Apologies we have not included the price here but this is one of our older reviews from 2011. More recently we have included an ex works price on our lodge and static caravan reviews, but remind buyers that additional charges may be made by park operators, and/or distributors for transport, siting and annual maintenance.
Could you give me a price please including site fees on a brand new ridgewood from willerby ?
Hi Ian, if you contact Willerby they should be able to give you a price and confirm if they still manufacture the Ridgewood lodge. You can download their brochures and see their buyer’s guide here: https://www.willerby.com/holiday-lodges
